Tourism Product Development Team - Peach County Site Visit!

The Peach County Tourism Committee in collaboration with Peach Regional Chamber of Commerce and Georgia Peach Festival, Inc. will be hosting a Tourism Product Development Team (TPD) with the Georgia Department of Economic Development on September 15, 2020 - September 17, 2020. 

The TPD Resource Team assists counties, cities and individual tourism partners in giving new life to existing resources and in fostering new tourism products within our communities. The team will evaluate our community past, present and potential for tourism growth and development in the future through innovation and unique local experiences. They will offer guidance through on-site Resource Teams, culminating in a full report of recommendations, grant opportunities, and follow-up with technical assistance. The TPD Resource Team Program has resulted in millions of dollars in tourism development throughout Georgia. Some completed projects recommended through the program have ranged from small business ideas to large infrastructure development. 

The team will consist of expertise in economic development, wayfinding & branding, downtown development, trails & recreation, arts & tourism, historic preservation & heritage tourism, agritourism, Georgia Film & Music and Georgia Grown. 

To grow Peach County, we must continually expand, enhance or improve the quality and quantity of experiences available to visitors and our community. By identifying and enhancing a community’s tourism product, the Resource Team’s approach ultimately will help draw more visitors to the community as well as provide an overall diversified economic development strategy for bringing jobs and infusing new money into our community.
