Peach County Board Of Education Spotlights Community Partners!

The Peach County Board of Education plans to recognize recent Peach County School System community partners and supporters at their upcoming Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. 

The following information was provided to the Chamber by Ms. Minnie Booker, Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Peach County Schools - Dr. Lionel Brown: 
 

Five Points Pharmacy:
They donated school supplies to every first grader in the Peach County School System.  They also donated the complete list of Medical Supplies to our 6 nurses  in each of our schools.  Chase Studstill  and Jonathan O'Connor, pharmacists at Five Points Pharmacy, were available to us to load and deliver supplies to the schools. 


Fort Valley Middle School Partners:
Two of our community partners consistently demonstrated support and service to the needs/success of the Fort Valley Middle School family.  The men of Beulahland Bible Church and Fellowship Bible Baptist Church reached out in the following ways.  They provided weekly visitations to their male mentees, breakfast for faculty and staff, a “Red Carpet” welcome back to our students, program and pizza parties for A+, A and B+ Honor Roll as well as homerooms with the Best Behavior.  They also donated 5 chromebook computers to 8th grade students who scored highest on the Georgia Milestone Test in the area of English/Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Algebra I. Three drawings were held for X-Box games which were awarded to the students scoring Proficient and higher on the Georgia Milestone Test. Their aim is to empower youth to make positive choices! It is “superfantastic” having them as our community partners for the past two years!
