The Georgia Secretary of State is responsible for regulating various industries to support an equitable, competitive, and efficient marketplace that contributes to the economic development of Georgians. Improving Georgians’ financial literacy is a key part of the Office’s mission. As part of his financial literacy platform, Secretary Brad Raffensperger will hold a series of events aimed at empowering, educating and encouraging Georgians. Agency outreach programs also are focused on consumer protection: alerting Georgians to the risks of fraud, financial crime and financial abuse, and arming Georgians with information to help protect them.
