The Middle Georgia Camellia Society would like to invite you to the Annual Middle Georgia Camellia Workshop\, November 11\, 2023 9:00 am at Massee Lane Gardens. Space is limited and pre-registration is required by November 1\, 2023. 🍑\;
\nThe $25 registration fee includes a boxed lunch\, workshop supplies\, and admission to Massee Lane Gardens. Those wishing to participate in the hands-on grafting will need to add $10 to cover the cost of the grafting stock plant.
\nThe day will begin in the beautiful Fetterman Gallery for registration\, complimentary coffee and doughnuts\, a silent auction\, and welcome from the club leaders\, followed by a presentation on "\;Basic Camellia Culture"\; by Mark Crawford of Loch Laurel Nursery in the auditorium. Next\, participants will choose from a camellia waxing demonstration by Jonanne Beckman or a camellia planting demonstration by William Khoury of the American Camellia Society. After a boxed lunch and the silent auction awards\, participants will gather in groups for sessions on propagating camellias by grafting and air layering. Two sessions will be offered for both techniques from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
\nIn addition to all the sessions listed\, they have added just one more. DELISE KNIGHT\, of Pineola Farms and Gardens will be presenting a demonstration on using camellias in floral design.
